My#3 journal

When I participated in EFL537 with the function in multimedia applied in learning and teaching language that means teacher can create materials through multimedia, technology in every lesson. Technological advances have made it possible for teachers to access authentic audiovisual resources directly through internet where users post their videos such as: http://www.youtube.com/

More over, teachers may begin by videotaping class performances such as speech presentations or show-and-tell sessions. Teachers can also familiarize themselves with these technologies by visiting online video viewing sites, which often offer audiovisual demonstrations created by educators, consultants, etc. Several factors have contributed to the proliferation of such online video content,

When searching for Web sites that can store and display school audiovisual resources, teachers must aware that the Internet is a public arena and many online video-sharing sites provide access to explicit content. The presence of such content may detract from the educational experience for students who want to share their videos with friends, relatives, and other students.

When considering publishing students' productions online, teachers should be aware that they must receive student, parental, and institutional consent prior to putting any videos or photos online. I would recommend that teachers work with their school administrations when choosing an online video storage site. It would also be advisable for teachers and their administrations to draft a consent form for students to sign.

Teachers need to explain at the beginning of their courses that productions will be stored online. They should provide students with a link to the site where materials will be stored so that all parties can access course materials.

Computer assited in learning language

Before this course I have read some articles about CALL onhttp://www.asian-efl-journal.com/pta_august_07_btmh.php through my friends' blog and posterous, but when I attend EFL 537 after day and day the conductor is Ph.D Rui Li I feel more confident about that field which is really helpful in language teaching. I always hope that after this course all of my classmate and their workmate will feel like me and do want to apply in teaching English.

My second reflection journal

As you know technology is rapidly developing and it has affected much in society, It changes the way people think and how they interact with others
Technology can be viewed as an activity that forms or changes culture. Additionally, technology is the application of math, science, and the arts for the benefit of life as it is known. A modern example is the rise of communication technology, which has lessened barriers to human interaction and, as a result, has helped spawn new subcultures; at its basis, the development of the Internet and the computer. Not all technology enhances culture in a creative way; technology can also help facilitate political oppression and war via tools such as guns.
The word "technology" can also be used to refer to a collection of techniques. In this context, it is the current state of humanity's knowledge of how to combine resources to produce desired products, to solve problems, fulfill needs
The influence of technology differs based on how much a technology is or can be used. Instead of considering technology as part of a larger spectrum of human activity, technological determinism sees technology as the basis for all human activity.
Rather than acknowledging that a society or culture interacts with and even shapes the technologies that are used, a technological determinist view holds that "the uses made of technology are largely determined by the structure of the technology itself.
However, this is not to be confused with the inevitability thesis (Daniel Chandler), which states that once a technology is introduced into a culture that follows is the inevitable development of that technology.

My reflection journal

Technology has influenced much in social interactions, social organization and cultural developments, technology now a day is developing rapidly from time to time base on technology people around the world can keep contact together through email, phone call, talking through internet.

Technology has affected society and its surroundings in a number of ways. In many societies, technology has helped develop more advanced economies and has allowed the rise of a leisure class. Many technological processes produce unwanted by-products, known as pollution, and destroy natural resources, and its environment. Various implementations of technology influence the values of a society and new technology often raises new ethical questions.

Technology in teaching it is also apply to learning and teaching through technology (CALL) student get many ideas to do their exercise or research and teacher can also exchange information with other though technology teacher can get lesson, exercise, quizzes to enrich lesson with pictures, culture, and custom for teacher.
